- Review your lessons.
This is a point we all tend to forget. We forget that students forget J
Hearing something once is not enough to remember it. Without a review we will all forget what we’ve studied. Try to review what you’ve studied with your student in the next few days after your lesson, in the worst case the following week. If your student realized he forgot what he studied he will be highly demotivated to learn more. On the teachers side we will usually tend to close the book on what we’ve taught and don’t get back to review it. This is actually a mistake. Unfortunately, it is natural for man to forget, and we teachers have to fight nature sometimes 🙂
How was it? Could you manage to put yourself in your student’s shoes? I hope this will help you with your future lessons! Don’t forget to comment if there are any tips you’ld like to share too!
Cheers 🙂
